Summer Camp Counselor

Responsibilities: - Supervise and engage campers in various activities and programs - Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times - Plan and lead age-appropriate games, crafts, and outdoor activities - Assist campers with personal needs, such as bathroom breaks or first aid - Implement behavior management strategies to create a positive and inclusive environment - Collaborate with other camp staff to coordinate daily schedules and activities - Provide guidance and support to campers in developing social skills and teamwork - Serve as a positive role model for campers, demonstrating respect, responsibility, and integrity Skills: - Theater: Ability to lead drama activities, such as skits or improvisation games - Babysitting: Experience caring for children in a one-on-one setting - Daycare: Knowledge of age-appropriate activities and child development principles - Classroom management: Ability to maintain order and engage students in a classroom setting - Sports coaching: Experience leading sports activities and teaching basic skills - Behavior management: Skill in managing challenging behaviors and promoting positive behavior choices - Special education: Understanding of individualized support strategies for campers with special needs - Christian counseling: Knowledge of Christian values and ability to provide spiritual guidance to campers - Early childhood education: Familiarity with early childhood learning principles and activities - Experience working with students: Previous experience working with children or teenagers in an educational or recreational setting Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
