*Summary*
KidZone Preschool & Childcare is a Christian based Preschool and
Childcare for children ages 6 weeks – 5 years.
The sta works together as a community encouraging each other and placing Jesus as the center of all.
Preschool teachers are expected to organize, supervise, implement classroom programming, and follow all scope and sequence and curriculum.
Each lead teacher will be assigned children following the ratio of Indiana and Paths to Quality standards.
Lead teachers will maintain open and eective communication with families.

Position: Full-Time Salary *Job Responsibilities* Reports to Early Childhood Director Administrative Duties Follow policies of KPC Follow Paths to Quality and state standards Attended all training and sta meetings Complete required yearly professional development Supervise sta and volunteers in the classroom Respect confidentiality of KPC families and sta Keep an accurate record of all training and timesheet.
Keep an inventory of classroom supplies and communicate needs to EC Director.
Check email each day and respond to requests in a timely manner.
Mentor and give continuous feedback to sta, VIP students, or regular volunteers in the classroom.
Provide feedback to EC Director on sta and volunteer performance.
Organize teacher-parent orientations for new children and their families Organize program activities and field trips *Environment* Create weekly lesson plans and schedule implementation, supervision, and management while supporting developmentally appropriate practice and program goals.
Work with the sta team on creating monthly themes and topics to support the developmental needs of children in the program.
Ensure a safe and healthy environment and complete daily tasks assigned.
Participate in regular cleaning of materials and classroom spaces.
Maintain classroom organization and rotate materials regularly.
Assist the EC Director in inventory and ordering supplies and general maintenance of the classroom.
Create a culturally inclusive classroom with activities that support dierent cultures and backgrounds.
Follow all PTQ and state classroom standards.
Clean and disinfect daily following cleaning log.
*Children* Engage children as individuals in a way that allows them to maximize their abilities.
Work with preschool sta to maintain the guidelines of Scope and Sequence and curriculum.
Ensure all children in the program are assessed according to KPC expectations.
Support children in their social/emotional, physical, cognitive and creative growth.
Assist children as they discover literacy and math skills and encourage learning to help them find school-day success.
Eectively use KPC behavior guidance techniques to help children develop the ability to become self-disciplined.
*Parents* Maintain daily, open communication with all program parents and be a resource for your assigned classroom children and their families.
Observe children and communicate regularly to parents about their progress in the program.
Complete appropriate paperwork to assist with increased communication with families and also participate in parent conferences and scheduled orientations.
Communicate child concerns and family needs to the preschool team and make appropriate referrals with the EC Director Participate regularly in family events sponsored by KPC *Essential Skills* Work is primarily performed in a classroom environment.
The KPC environment is dynamic with a high level of activity.
Work may also be performed at community sites for field trips.
Applicant must be able to lift up to 75 pounds Stand up to 95% of the day Assume postures in low level positions that best allow physical and visual contact with children Must be able to sustain a high level of energy Bend to perform various tasks numerous times throughout the day Stoop, sit on the floor Have the ability to move from a seated position to a standing position promptly to respond to emergency situations Perform all activities with children, i.

jump, dance, walk, run, etc.
for extended periods of time Both indoor and outdoor environments are typically found in a Pre-School.
Depending upon activities and season may be required to be outdoors for regular, prolonged activities.
Must possess acceptable hearing and visual capabilities in order to monitor the environment and children’s well being Must be able to excel in an ambiguous and continuously changing, competitive environment Applicate will need to be flexible and be able to respond quickly and appropriately to changing situations The applicant will be faced with a variety of issues on a daily basis and will be engaged in multiple tasks and must respond quickly and appropriately to frequently changing needs of children *Spiritual Components* Must be a regular member of an evangelical church body.
This does not have to be Shelbyville Community Church, but must be a trinity believing evangelical church.
