Diesel Mechanic (Indianapolis)

We are looking for a talented Diesel Mechanic to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our dealership in (Indianapolis, IN).
Hours- M-F 8AM -5PM In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: • Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop • Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles.
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing products • Maintain own tools.
• Knowledge of engine types -CUMMINS X15 and ISX engine, Detroit DDEC preferred.
Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required • Skill in operating tools equipment, parts and procedures utilized during the repair and servicing of commercial motor vehicles.
• Skill in repair of special purpose equipment, ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks.
• Ability to diagnose defects in and repair a variety of equipment and vehicles.
• Ability to utilize fleet maintenance software program.

• The associate must be able to work safely at heights using applicable ladders and elevated working platforms.
• The associate must be able to safely work in all weather conditions.
• The Master Mechanic will work in a garage environment.
It is a large, open building with large shelves and racks.
It can be noisy and busy with trucks and other machinery.
This position does not require a CDL but would be nice to have, a CDL may be required to obtain upon hire.
