Part Time Transport

The assigned Part-Time Transportation Provider is responsible for transporting authorized clients and youth of the Indiana United Methodist Children’s Home to and from authorized appointments, school, visits, events or errands.
The Transportation Provider’s schedule is flexible and determined by the hours they agreed to work and the assignments they accept from the Family Teachers and Residential Supervisors.
What you will do: * Transport passengers in a safe and lawful manner.
This includes the use of seat belts for all passengers as well as car seats (if applicable) for those individuals under four years of age.
* Prompt in keeping appointments and adhering to agreed-upon schedules.
* Abide by Indiana United Methodist Children’s Home’s Rules of Confidentiality.
* Record time the transport began and ended at Indiana United Methodist Children’s Home.
Record on work time records.
* Report as soon as possible, any problems or concerns regarding a specific youth or transportation request.
* Work with the Family Teachers, Residential Supervisors, and any other Collaborating IUMCH staff determined by the Family Teachers as a team member to best meet the needs of the youth and family.
* Inform the Family Teachers of personal emergencies, illness etc.
with as much advance notice as possible if unable to provide transportation as assigned.
* Treat clients and youth with respect and dignity.
* Perform only those transportation requests authorized by the Family Teachers, Residential Supervisors, or Residential Services Director and Assistant Director.
* Assignments include and are not limited to: * Medical appointments and counseling sessions.
* Transportation to and from the group home to visits with the biological and/or extended family/parent.
* Court hearings or other placing agency meetings, as necessary for the youth.
* School * Other transportation as assigned.
* Transportation may be local or long distance.
\* Assignment Procedure: * Assignments may be for one time or they may of an ongoing nature.
Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $14.
