Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and tankers
- Transport goods and materials to and from specified locations
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating vehicles
- Inspect vehicles before and after each trip to ensure they are in proper working order
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and deliveries
- Plan routes and adjust as needed to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Communicate with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate logistics
Skills:
- Commercial driving experience with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License)
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts
- Ability to load and unload cargo safely and efficiently
- Experience with different types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and tankers
- Knowledge of route planning and navigation systems
- Familiarity with tanker operations, if applicable
- Basic automotive repair skills for minor maintenance tasks
- Ability to operate refrigerated trailers, if required
