SUMMARY
We are seeking a versatile team member for our Indianapolis branch, responsible for tasks such as selecting and organizing customer orders, verifying and cross-referencing all orders prepared for delivery, providing general support in the warehouse, and engaging in delivery and various technical activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work in a team-oriented environment by picking and preparing shipments for delivery – working overtime as needed to accomplish the daily/weekly shipping goals.
Receiving, stocking and order fulfillment, including deliveries to customers
Deliver product to internal and external customers driving a "straight" truck or van as needed.
Operate hand truck or dolly to load and unload delivery truck or van
Driving in a safe and lawful manner, maintaining an acceptable driving record
Operate forklift or other equipment as required in the movement of material with the warehouse/distribution center.
Follows and understandings all company and job specific procedures
Follows all safety instructions to properly load/unload trucks/vans according to procedure
Engaging in light production and assembly tasks
Ensuring timely completion of all required paperwork
Cleans and performs routine maintenance on truck
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to perform basic math calculations
Must have good verbal and written skills
Must be able to work with minimal supervision
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum of 1 year of warehousing experience
Possess a valid Driver’s License
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the workday
Capability to handle boxes and tools
Proficiency in reaching with hands and arms
Occasional requirement to climb stairs or ladders
Regular lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds
Using a hand truck, the employee must regularly push and pull loads ranging from 180 to 250 pounds
Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions while performing job duties
Moderate to loud noise levels in the work environment, with occasional instances of loud noise
