Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, box trucks, and other specialized equipment
- Transport goods and materials to and from designated locations
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as needed
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely delivery and addressing any customer concerns or issues
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance
Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably as an owner-operator
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including loading, unloading, and securing cargo
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely and efficiently
- Good understanding of route planning and navigation using GPS or other tools
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills to ensure on-time deliveries
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of long hours on the road and loading/unloading cargo
