Position Summary and Scope of Responsibilities:
The Long Term Care On-Call Delivery Driver is responsible for making deliveries of medications, health care equipment, infusion and enteral treatments to health care facilities and individuals as directed by management.
Principal Roles and Responsibilities:
Monitors a company-supplied cell telephone while on-call.
He/she will obtain delivery directions from a pharmacist or an assistant to a pharmacist regarding the destination facility of delivery, the patient’s name, or the name of a cooperating pharmacy that will supply the medication for pick-up and delivery.
Delivery of medications, health care equipment, infusion and enterals to health care facilities and individuals in a professional, respectful and courteous manner.
Relay of communication from facilities served by Williams Bros.
Long Term Care Pharmacy to the Long Term Care Pharmacy Delivery Manger, utilizing appropriate designated communication form.
Demonstrate and promote safety in the workplace and on the roadways used for deliveries.
Accepts other duties and activities as assigned by management.
