App Turnaround time 24-48 Hours Qualifications: Must be 21 years of age or older 3 months months experience Not SAP driver Must have a Class A CDL Clean MVR driving record Able to pass drug (hair follicle) and urine drug test No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years ( * Based on the offense date) No more than 3 minor accidents/incidents in the past 3 years Position Details: VERY LABOR INTENSE Drivers on this local job will operate in a 200-mile radius of Indianapolis, IN.
Drivers will make deliveries of appliances to customers homes, businesses, and building sites.
70% Retail and 30% Builder Stops Once at the delivery location drivers will be responsible for unloading & uncrating the appliances, moving them into the location, and then installing the appliances.
30-35 average # of stops/wk.
delivering an average of 250-500 units/wk.
Cannot take truck home for time off.
Will use a ramp and dolly to off load appliances unless there is a dock provided.
Drivers will be based at cross-dock facilities in Indianapolis ALL appliances will be staged on cross-dock for drivers to load product on to the trailer or box truck from the cross-dock facilities.
Loads are multi-stop and include un-boxing and installation of appliances to homes, apartments and businesses.
Training will be provided on installing appliances including: electric ovens and clothes dryers, gas dryers and ovens, range hoods, drop-in ovens, dishwashers and garbage disposals.
Training will be 3-4 weeks and will be activity based pay They will deliver new appliances and sometimes return with old or damaged appliances.
Some knowledge of installing appliances in their past is a plus.
Shift Details: Start time around 6am-8am and work a 10-12 hr shift Home daily Mon-Fri, off weekends but Sat work is available.
