We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team.
The primary
responsibility of the Dump Truck Driver is to operate dump trucks safely and efficiently
to transport materials, such as asphalt, dirt, rocks, sand, and gravel, to and from
construction sites, quarries, or other locations.
The Dump Truck Driver will be
responsible for inspecting vehicles for mechanical issues, ensuring that loads are
properly secured, and following all traffic laws and regulations.
*Responsibilities:*
● Safely operate dump trucks to transport materials to and from specified
locations
● Secure loads using straps, chains, or covers to prevent spills or accidents
● Inspect trucks for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance as needed
● Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safety on the road
● Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours worked
● Communicate with dispatchers and other drivers using two-way radios or cell
phones
● Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
Requirements:
● Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
● Previous experience operating dump trucks or similar vehicles preferred
● Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for operating commercial
vehicles
● Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor as needed
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
● Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
● Willingness to work long hours and weekends as needed
● High school diploma or equivalent
● Able to pass an ongoing drug screening
