Perform analysis of compiled, reviewed, and audited financial statements for contractors and apply adjustments required by the Rules for Prequalification of Contractors within established time limits.
Investigate discrepancies found in the Contractor’s Statement of Experience and Financial Condition (CR-1) based upon information found in separately prepared financial statements or notes to those financial statements.
Consult with applicant or applicant’s CPA on a one-on-one basis on matters directly associated with filing of CR-1.
Answer questions regarding technical financial information from Certified Public Accountants and CPA firms about GAAP rules and state rules governing prequalification.
Prepare prequalification worksheet, which calculates the maximum balance upon which prequalification ratings are based.
Determine acceptability of renewal applications and process associated worksheets.
We need this person to assist the current Prequalification Auditor during the months of April through October at a cost of thirty dollars per hour ($30/hour), for a total cost of twenty-two thousand five hundred dollars ($27,000).
We need an audit temp who needs to be familiar with GAAP accounting standards and have experience working with corporate balance sheets.
Construction company comptroller or accountant experience is ideal but not required.
Temporary Paralegal Job Description: Serves as a contact in Central Office for the Compliance/Title VI/ADA Team, answering phones, scheduling attorney meetings and other logistical arrangements and handling any Compliance/TitleVI/ADA-related mail in Central Office.
Serves as a resource and screener for legal issues and questions arising in all the Districts and Central Office, and when necessary, directs legal issues to the appropriate attorney (either Compliance or TitleVI/ADA).
Responsible for tracking down additional information needed by attorneys to process requests for legal assistance, maintenance of any paper working files as needed and uploading/organizing pleadings/notices/discovery /correspondence/etc.
Responsible for paralegal functions including drafting, editing and finalizing correspondence, and other various legal documents requested by the attorneys.
Reseach mattes as needed as they pertain to state and federal compliance/Title VI/ADA as it relates to the transportation industry, locating and gathering information and documents responsive to compliance issues (i.
e.
contracts).
Assist attorneys in researching, follow-up and tracking status of questions from both internal and external stakeholders on compliance/TitleVI/ADA matters for all Districts and Central Office, including assisting with reviewing documents, and updating case management system.
