We are seeking an Associate Attorney to become a part of our team! You will represent clients in legal proceedings, draw up legal documents and advise clients on legal transactions.
Job Summary
* Conducts criminal and family law cases, appeals, and post-conviction relief case, draws up legal documents, advises clients as to legal rights, and practices other phases of law.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
* Negotiate settlements for legal disputes
* Comply with all legal standards and regulations
* Gathers evidence in divorce, civil, criminal, and other cases to formulate defense or to initiate legal action.
* Conducts research, interviews clients, and witnesses and handles other details in preparation for trial.
* Prepares legal briefs, develops strategy, arguments and testimony in preparation for presentation of case.
* Files brief with court clerk.
* Represents client in court, and before quasi-judicial or administrative agencies of government.
* Interprets laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
* Confers with colleagues with specialty in area of lawsuit to establish and verify basis for legal proceedings.

Qualifications:
* Previous experience in law
* Familiarity with various legal documents
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Ability to build rapport with clients
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Education: J.
D.
degree
* Experience: Completion of Indiana state bar exam with successful admission
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.
