_ *Travel and Fixed Asset Coordinator * *Division of Economic and Financial Operations* _General Duties:_ The travel coordinator will arrange business travel for employees, identifying the most cost-effective and efficient travel arrangements and making necessary reservations for accommodations.
The fixed asset manager performs various functions in ensuring effective maintenance of an organizations fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
_Essential Duties:_ *1.
Travel Coordinator* a.
Provide exceptional and professional customer service.
b.
Effectively communicate with staff pre and post travel.
c.
Research and compare available travel, hotel accommodations and car rental to identify the best available option for each travel need.
d.
When arrangements are within approved travel reasons and budget limits, make all arrangements and reservations as required.
e.
Prepare travel itineraries and distribute travel arrangements and schedules to all appropriate staff.
f.
Obtain approval from leadership for travel requests and expenses that exceed established limits.
g.
Handle issues that may arise during bookings and/or travel.
h.
Process reimbursements for travel expenses.
*2.
Asset Coordinator* a.
Record fixed assets by creating and supervising a system of procedures, forms and controls.
b.
Allocate tag numbers to fixed assets to effectively track them.
c.
Record in the asset management accounting system newly acquired fixed assets and those disposed.
d.
Track, compile, and record costs in fixed assets.
e.
Physically carry out inventory count of fixed assets.
*3.
Other General Duties* a.
Backup to surplus coordinator.
b.
Responds to all internal and external customer inquiries, verbal or written, in a polite, courteous, and professional manner.
c.
Participates in training to maintain or enhance current knowledge of principles, procedures, methods, and/or technology.
d.
Serves as a resource person for peers.
e.
Facilitates accomplishment of team objectives through cooperation and “lending a hand,” even with assignments outside of normal areas of responsibility.
f.
Treats all customers with high levels of sensitivity and respect.
g.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
_Required Skills/Abilities:_ · Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong working knowledge of state travel guidelines.
· Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to assess multiple options and identify the best choice to serve a specified goal.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Strong analytical skills.
· Detail oriented and highly organized.
· Strong knowledge and experience of fixed assets and general ledger.
· Strong proficiency in excel.
· Strong ability to work individually and/or in a team setting.
· Ability to work remotely with required via teams, VPN, or other remote access technology.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45,106.
00 - $57,510.
