Our practice is primarily Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, and Medical Malpractice.
We are currently seeking someone to join our team as a *Litigation Paralegal.

The *Litigation Paralegal* will help the attorneys with all aspects of case management including: * Talk to potential new clients and evaluate their situation.
* Set up the claim in case management software system and manage the case from beginning to end.
We currently use the NEOS system and will train the successful applicant on how to utilize this software.
* Scan and file all correspondence in accordance with established timelines and firm standards.
* Obtain case related records including medical, ER and ambulance records, police reports and photos of damage as applicable.
* Provide documents to various parties and respond to requests for documents from outside counsel.
* Maintain client relationships and regular interaction including follow up calls and correspondence.
* Research potential defendants.
* Some drafting of legal documents including letters of representation to insurance companies, letters of protection, notices to and correspondence with Medicare/Medicaid, discovery, legal memos, pleadings, scheduling orders, lien resolutions, demand letters and proper citation.
* Negotiate healthcare liens and prepare medical billing summaries.
* Prepare medical chronologies, demand brochures, deposition, and mediation materials.
* Proactively managing the case load and calendar to ensure all deadlines are met and appropriate parties notified in a timely manner.
* Other activities as assigned.
*What we are looking for:* * Strong initiative and ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
* Experience in plaintiff personal injury and complex litigation is a plus.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.
).
* * Confidentiality and discretion are necessary.
* Ability to deal with simultaneous projects and competing priorities.
* Ability to convey information and ideas in ways that others will understand.
* Ability to function with a high level of patience, tact, empathy, and diplomacy in handling sensitive situations and information.
* Follow established guidelines and procedures and provide support for miscellaneous requests and flex services with a “can do” attitude and philosophy.
* Deliver on commitments in a timely and accurate manner.
* Some flexibility in regards to work schedule when demands of the legal work requires Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $45,000 per year and negotiable upward based on experience.
