Position Summary
As the person who assists the Unit Manager oversee the retail dining services operation, works to ensure that the expectations of the client and Food Services Director are met and/or exceeded, while responding to market trends and customer demands, producing desired outcomes in a fiscally responsible manner.
Works professionally and cooperatively as a valued member of the dining services management team, assisting with any aspect of the dining services program necessary.
Retail Supervisor Responsibilities:
Trains and manages all retail staff.
Participates in hiring, scheduling, time keeping, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions of retail staff.
Under the direction of the Food Services Director and Retail Manager, supervises and coordinates all retail sales activities in all operations.
Estimating and forecasting food consumption in the retail operation, monitoring production volumes, and adjusting future production as needed; maintains budgetary controls.
Maintains an organized system of comprehensive retail record keeping.
Retail Supervisor Requirements:
Minimum three years of culinary and management experience
Strong management and client relations skills
Solid knowledge of financials
Proficient in MS Office
Responsible for meeting and maintaining state and local certification requirements (Food Service Manager)
