The Indiana Destination Development Corporation (IDDC) was formed by the Indiana Legislature in 2019 to promote Indiana as a great place for living, visiting, learning, and earning.
The IDDC became incorporated on July 1st, 2020.
The Indiana Office of Tourism Development (IOTD) evolved into the new organization, creating a seamless experience for our tourism and talent attraction partners.

Role Overview: This position serves as a Marketing Specialist for the Indiana Destination Development Corporation (IDDC) and is responsible for assisting with projects and marketing efforts that promote IDDC.
Employee will coordinate and manage innovative marketing campaigns; oversee marketing initiatives from conception through completion.
Process and service secured meetings, conferences, and events.
Coordinate resources to meet the needs of event planners in preparation for all events stages, ensuring success, and encouraging continuous business.
Write, edit, and manage content for marketing websites and collateral.
Reports to the VP of Tourism, Marketing and Communications.
A Day in the Life: The essential functions of this role are as follows: Develop and manage agency-specific strategic marketing and communications for the VP of Tourism, Marketing, and Communications.
Supports IDDC’s tourism/quality of life marketing efforts including marketing and advertising initiatives, vendor relations, and event details through project completion.
Ensure quality of all media generated by self and all team members and report to the VP of Tourism, Marketing, and Communications.
Assist with marketing and media budget.
Assist with RFPs, RPQs, and QPAs associated with media and marketing.
Assist with analytics and reporting from all owned digital channels.
Create and update reports and documents with analytics.
Coordinate video production as necessary.
Work closely with the team to create content for media efforts, social media, e-newsletters, blog posts, video content, and website content.
Coordinates the preparation and maintenance of files and records.
Attend marketing meetings with the VP of Tourism, Marketing and Communications, the agency of record, and others.
Assist in determining the level of services to be rendered and delivered to meeting or event clients, based on the size of the event, group, or team, number of attendees, characteristics, and specific needs.
Create and update reports and documents.
Serve as backup support for other programs as approved by supervisor.
Assist with daily administrative duties.

What You'll Need for Success: Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, public relations, communications, or related field and three (3) years of project management experience or related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Analytical mindset and independent thinker with customer service skills.
Ability to work independently, be proactive, multi-task, and prioritize workflow.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create efficient and effective reports.
Mastery in social media platforms and experience managing multiple online communities.
Understanding of offline and online marketing tactics and their role in marketing strategies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Creative Cloud, familiarity with web management tools.
(WordPress, Drupal, et al) and ability to learn new software packages as job function requires.
Experience in the Tourism Industry is a plus but not required.
Thorough knowledge of general administrative policies and practices.
Thorough knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment, and office assistance techniques.
Ability to read, understand, and interpret difficult materials with complicated information that may contain excerpts from regulatory and/or legal documents.
Ability to keep office records and prepare accurate reports from file sources.
Ability to perform and organize work independently.
Ability to prepare effective correspondence on routine matters and to perform office management details with minimal referral to supervisor.
Ability to operate standard office and computer equipment including the ability to operate specialized software.
Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports: This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
