This position is 100% in office and does not permit remote work.
*The Position:*
The Account Relationship Specialist position will split time between Account Representative duties and School Bus Routing duties while providing outstanding customer service.
The Account Relationship Specialist will work with customers to plan, and develop travel itineraries.
Responsibilities will also include working with the Routing Department to generate and maintain accurate safe routes for our customers.
Building and maintaining customer relationships is critical to this position.
*Job Responsibilities*
* Follow charters through entire process.
Including but not limited to quoting, booking, and verifying successful completion of trips.
* Maintain and build customer base
* Maintain Assigned School Routes and Student Lists.
* Work with customers to obtain information needed to develop and maintain SAFE and TIMELY school routes in accordance with our contracts.
* Adjust routes in response to program needs, student transportation attendance, student enrollment, road work, and or parent/school concerns.
Communicate with impacted drivers and school personnel.
* Check routes against GPS system throughout the school year for accuracy.
* Keep computer systems up to date and continually look for ways to improve efficiency and safety.
* Answers telephone inquiries and two-way radio as needed
* Maintain effective and professional working relationships with other members of the department as well as school personnel and community members including those from diverse cultures or backgrounds.
* Work effectively with dispatch by communicating changes and resolutions to problems or potential problems.
* Performing administrative work
* Outside sales visits including attending conventions or meetings as needed
* Utilize industry specific software along with Microsoft Office products including Excel and Outlook.
* Other duties as required.
*The Requirements:*
* High school diploma or GED required.
* Ability to work well under pressure and unsupervised.
* A minimum of one year sales or routing experience preferred.
* A minimum of one year of Microsoft Excel experience preferred.
* Excellent communication (interpersonal, oral and written) in order to give instructions clearly, and ability to work well with others
* Due to large number of calls, must stay organized and prioritize the order of calls.
* Ability to work effectively and professionally in coordination with other people.
* Good personal and conflict resolution skills.
* Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test, and adhere to Miller Drug/Alcohol Policy.
* Knowledge of Miller values and business solutions.

Pay: $45,000.
