Canaley Process Equipment is seeking a Technical Outside Sales Engineer to join their sales coverage in Indiana, preferably in Indianapolis.
*Summary*:
The Technical Outside Sales Engineer consists of three main areas of activity:
* Prospecting for sales at new customers
* Maintaining and growing sales at existing customers
* Technical support within the territory.
*Technical Skills and Knowledge*:
* Extensive technical aptitude, familiarity with engineering principles and design guidelines, and the ability to provide quotations and recommendations for mixers, pumps, heat exchangers, and fluid processing systems
* Review and assist in warranty issues and application troubleshooting
* Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to obtain technical quotations and develop technical specifications
* Develop parts quotations and recommendations
* Customer order confirmation, clarification, and entry
* Review and provide recommendations for parts inventory levels
* Interpret documents such as engineering reports, drawings, instruction manuals
* The ability to write clear, concise routine technical correspondence
* Knowledge of word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel), and simple CRMs
*Required Experience & Education*:
* Mechanical, industrial, chemical, electrical, or equivalent engineering degree or experience is preferred
* Three years in Engineering, Technical Sales, or Customer Service is preferred
* Basic understanding of mixers, heat exchangers and positive displacement pumps
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
