_ _*About Us:*_ We have two locations, Fusek's True Value Downtown which is located in the heart of downtown Indianapolis and Fusek's True Value Hardware East which is located on East Washington Street near Washington Square Mall.

The Retail Sales Floor Supervisor/Manager shares in the responsibility for the overall performance of the store and assists Store Management with generating sales potential by having a general understanding of every department, driving a customer service culture, developing staff, maintaining store appearance, controlling expenses and shortages.
An effective Supervisor will do this through leading by example and working alongside employees to get the job done.
Supervisors help set the tone for the whole store, they must consistently do more than is required and frequently more than is expected.
An enthusiastic, positive, and supportive attitude is essential to ensure that they create a positive and productive work environment *What you’ll be doing:* * Maintain a floor presence and willingness to do whatever needs to be done to maintain and improve the store.

e significant knowledge of all departments, willingness to help sales associates and/or cashiers put an order away, sweep the floor, bring down overstock, keep aisles neat, clean and tidy, etc) * Be proficient and have working knowledge of cash register/Point-of-Sale (POS), Epicor Scheduling+, inventory audits, paint computer, paint tinter and mixing machines, key machines, ability to re-key locks, program remotes, repair and re-screen, sharpen knives, and use circular/chop panel saws (where applicable).
* Manage and participate in daily store walks with store management/owners * Oversees the sales floor and all associates to ensure customer awareness by all associates at all times * Promotes customer service is the #1 Priority.
This must be accomplished on a daily basis through coaching, monitoring employee’s performance and interactions on the sales floor.
* Sets a positive tone for the team * Commonly works side by side with team members to accomplish store goals * Is totally familiar and competent in conducting and adhering to all processes for management – Wow Sales Training, daily store huddles, floor observations, daily store walk-throughs, department checklists, 1-2-1’s, zoning, coaching process and any other assigned processes for management.
Utilizes DEXTER to communicate and measure these processes * Remains current on all company policies and ensures that all policies, standards and procedures are maintained and followed in a consistent manner.
* Participates in the (MOD) responsibilities and schedule.
* Attends management meetings or as required by ownership and Store Manager * Maintains a positive, fun, and productive work environment.
* Communicates customer and/or employee issues to Store Manager immediately/same day.
Resolves complaints within 48 hours to best of ability.
* Can open and close the store based on operational guidelines.
* Counts down cash drawers at the end of the day and petty cash if necessary.
* Address any inventory issues brought to them by team members, ensuring Store Manager and owner is apprised of the situation.
* Through Dexter - keep store staff sufficiently informed about plans, projects, policies and procedures, such that all staff members have an appropriate and positive level of buy-in to all levels of store operations as directed by store management team.
* Assist in the training and development of the floor staff as directed by store manager.
* Maintain high level of housekeeping throughout the store, both inside and out.
* Enforce safety policies and procedures; is a safety role model.

* *Minimum Requirements:* * High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Must have previous management experience and retail knowledge.
* Technically skilled in basic computer knowledge and software (such as, Word, Excel, Email, internet research).
* Must have good written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to provide motivation and leadership to employees store-wide.
* Knows how to prioritize: Place proper priorities on work to be done.
* Have good concept of overall management responsibilities.
* Keep well informed on facts important to management.
* Fair and impartial in dealing with employees.
* Communicate well with others, and work well as part of a retail team.
* Provide and accept constructive suggestions and instructions.
* Always polite and attentive to customers and staff.
* Dress appropriately and according to company policy.
* *Physical Demands:* * Tasks involve the ability to exert moderate, though not constant physical effort, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
* Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Shifts are typically 8 hours.
* Requires the ability to reach, bend, balance, lift and transport various objects weighing up to 30 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift; at times, product weight may reach 50 lbs.
Requires the ability to move heavy product with assistance.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.
