Must live in Indiana - Position is Hybrid Aspire Indiana Health is a nonprofit provider of comprehensive “whole health” services including primary medical care, behavioral health, recovery services and programs addressing the social drivers of health such as housing and employment.
Aspire has health centers in five Central Indiana counties serving Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life.
Position Summary The Director of Philanthropy, in alignment with the strategy and vision of Aspire Indiana Health, Inc.
and its subsidiaries, will develop a culture that embraces meaningful philanthropic relationships with a wide array of community partners who are aligned with Aspire’s mission of making health and well-being a reality.
The Director of Philanthropy will be a champion for leading the development and utilization of systems, processes, and activities that provide exceptional donor experiences, honor the stories of patient/client success, and create pathways for deeper engagement with Aspire beyond transactional giving.
Support authentic relationships built on trust that leads to mutual understanding and philanthropic giving of time, talent, network, and financial resources.
The Director of Philanthropy will build and lead a diverse team of fundraising and development professionals in this work.
Essential Responsibilities In alignment with Aspire’s strategic plans, guide the process of strategy development and strategy implementation of fundraising and development plans that support key initiatives.
Work alongside Aspire leadership to help inform how fundraising/development capabilities intersect with major organizational needs.
Build and develop a fundraising team that is capable of executing with excellence the fundraising and development strategy.
Conduct assessments of Aspire’s existing fundraising and development systems and existing donor network.
Perform all administrative functions of people management, including but not limited to approving timecards and time off requests, expenses, scheduling, etc.
Ensure direct reports remain compliant and current on all assigned training, required screenings, policies, procedures, documentation, licensure, certifications, as applicable Ensure new hires have successfully completed their training plan and meet all onboarding requirements prior to releasing them from their introductory period Evaluate team member and department progress toward achieving individual and team goals, objectives and metrics and provide timely, relevant, and actionable feedback to direct reports Education/Experience/Requirements Bachelor's degree from a college/university accredited by the US Department of Education Master’s degree focused on non-profit leadership, fundraising, or related field from a college/university accredited by the US Department of Education preferred, or advanced certification(s) focused on fundraising/development preferred Seven (7) years of experience in fundraising and development.
A minimum of five years of leadership experience in a nonprofit organization, working on fundraising, business development, strategy, planning, or related fields required Experience in a healthcare fundraising environment, preferred.
Outstanding presentation skills, including the ability to create professional presentations that clearly convey the 'ask' with communication skills that enable persuasion and engagement of key audiences Demonstrate the ability to analyze and compile complex data for planning purposes Demonstrate commitment to the values of diversity, inclusiveness, and empowerment Experience building a first-class team and fostering a learning/teamwork environment that holds people accountable for achieving results Must possess/maintain a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance and a driving record that meets the guidelines and requirements of the organization Must have reliable transportation to oversee programming and/or attend trainings and/or meetings Learn more about us at Aspireindiana.
