Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Team Leader in Carmel, IN.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Lead, direct, and manage through the following primary responsibilities:
Manage the Commercial Department including P&L responsibilities, managing IGR and expenses as defined by PCL.
Interview and hire department teammates and coordinate appropriate training.
Provide administrative supervision of the Commercial Lines support staff; conduct all performance reviews and salary reviews; participate in counseling of employees, manage timecards and coordinate time-off scheduling.
Monitor the department’s accounts receivables and agency billed items interfacing with Accounting Department, in addition to following up on collection of premium payments when necessary.
Work with PCL and Leadership team to develop and implement goals.
Work with PCL and other Team Leaders in preparation of the annual budget and monitoring of budget throughout the year
Establish uniform procedures for Commercial Lines and Select departments.
Maximize use of Agency technology through regular training and the ongoing research/solicitation of advanced software products
Communicate current industry and regulatory requirements.
Act as Quality Control liaison with corporate
Strengthen and maximize electronic communications between carriers, customers, and the Profit Center
Attend carrier and industry meetings and seminars.
Identify potential errors and omissions exposures and implement procedures which will minimize or eliminate same
Always conduct the highest level of confidentiality
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Current Indiana Insurance License
3+ years of management experience
5+ years of recent agency experience handling a broad spectrum of personal and commercial lines products and customers.
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
Working knowledge of carrier websites (preferred)
College degree, including management courses or the equivalent (preferred)
Experience with Agency Management Software Systems
This position requires routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle.
Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position.
