Director of Catering

Director of Catering Wyndham Indianapolis West Hotel is a full-service catering company that provides culinary services for weddings, events, and special occasions.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about food and catering and has a willingness to learn and grow with the company.
REQUIRED TRAINING/ EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: · College degree or equivalent experience in the marketing of food and beverage.
· Proven sales and supervisory experience in hotel food and beverage.
DUTIES: (Include, but are not limited to) 1.
Supervises and directs the catering office and the banquet department.
2.
Directs the hiring and training of all new employees in the catering office and the banquet department.
3.
Sells banquets and banquet services to organizations and individuals.
4.
Communicates and facilitates actual banquet plans including menus, service, and set-ups and evaluates their execution.
5.
Performs the booking procedures.
6.
Evaluate and coordinate the constant maintenance of proper conditions in the front and the back of the house.
7.
Participates with the sales department and the Executive Chef in the planning of menus and services.
8.
Participates in the planning of services with the Chief Engineer.
9.
Participate in a weekly meeting with the Executive Chef and the Banquet Manager to plan all F & B functions.
10.
Confers with the F & B Director on all areas regularly.
11.
Delegates to the semi-monthly meetings in the banquet department.
12.
Provides data and prepares reports as required.
13.
Evaluates and enforces the objectives, policies, standards, and methods set by the F & B Director.
14.
Exercises the hotel's policies and procedures following the above responsibilities.
15.
Performs all other related duties as assigned by the Director of Food and Beverage.
