Alliance Labor Group is assisting a Global Logistics company in Indianapolis, IN recruit for a Sales Account Executive with International Shipping experience.
The preferred candidate will have a vast sales territory that includes Indiana, Kentucky, and Southwestern Ohio.
*Responsibilities for the Sales Account Executive include but are not limited to:*
* Manage customer interactions including fostering relationships, customer call and close new business
* Use Salesforce to identify, call and track prospects to gain core and strategic opportunities
* Maintain a strong commercial presence in the local marketplace, participating or presenting at regional events
* Follow up and respond to sales leads generated by overseas offices or assigned by the Sales Manager
* Customer visits and prospects within the assigned territory
* Use multiple media platforms to drive relationships forward and is comfortable with in-person or phone conversations
* Collaborate with partners with Account management teams to create and execute an implementation plan to effectively transition relationship management duties; assist in the development of any SOPs required to manage the customers’ business effectively
* Manager collaboration to ensure alignment with branch strategies in forecasting, business planning and pipeline development
* Demonstrate solid decision making-skills and ability to prioritize ever-changing daily tasks
* Effectively execute sales activities to meet or exceed daily, monthly and annual expectations
* Work closely with other internal departments to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience
* Consult with decision makers and buying influencers to understand customers’ business challenges and supply chain goals
* Interpret how multiple factors affecting market conditions could impact a customer’s supply chain and deliver a persuasive case for change
*Core Skills and Qualifications:*
* High School diploma and or GED
* Minimum of 2 years of operations experience from a freight forwarder or outside sales
* Willingness to travel within assigned territory, minimum 3-4 days per week
* Advanced knowledge of logistical concepts and supply chain terminology
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Self-driven, results oriented individual with a positive outlook, clear focus on high quality and business profitability
* International shipping, quoting, closing deals and bring new business
