Indy Sports & Entertainment, the umbrella company to Indy Eleven, a professional soccer franchise playing in the United Soccer League’s (USL) top tier, along with its new W League women’s team and professional academy teams is looking to add to its talented roster to help continue building Indy Eleven into the preeminent franchise within the USL.
We are looking for someone who can lead the ticket sales and services team over the coming years, including as we enter our new 20,000-seat downtown stadium which is currently under construction with a target opening in 2026.
The full-time position of Vice President, Ticket Sales and Services is responsible for the hands-on sale and service of effective marketing and hospitality solutions for area businesses and residents.
Maximizing game day attendance and crowds is of premium importance to help lead the league in attendance.
This results driven individual has the opportunity to continue building a department into one of the best practices in the entire League.
Indy Eleven is seeking a proven, hardworking professional looking to take the next step in his or her sales career in the sports industry.
The Vice President, Ticket Sales and Services must have previous management experience and be responsible for the generation and development of proven ticket revenue and growth.
The successful candidate will also be a self-starter with direct experience selling tickets and a proven track record of developing mutually beneficial and customizable ticket packages for both the team and client.
Direct sales efforts from the candidate is a must, as this is not simply a supervisory role.
Direct sales is required.
Creativity, professionalism, excellent writing and presentation skills and the highest level of ethical standards are required to be part of the culture of excellence Indy Eleven is building and expects.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Generate revenue through the identification and closing of categories of tickets sales for Indy Eleven, including individual game day, groups, corporate partners, and premium suite and hospitality.
Oversee and grow the Indy Eleven ticket sales efforts as it pertains to corporate and group hospitality (suites, party areas, short season packages and season tickets).
Maintain and manage database of ticketing clients and prospects.
Train, manage and hire a sales staff.
Meet or exceed weekly, monthly and yearly sales goals.
Participate as a member of the Indy Eleven Executive Leadership Team.
Provide outstanding customer service to fans.
Represent team at numerous community events throughout the year and actively assist in grass roots marketing efforts to build fan base.
EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS
Professional that can lead his/her team but must be able to sell and personally get results.
Result oriented who is ready to go to another gear.
Bachelor’s Degree (recommended) in business, sports management, marketing or related field.
Minimum 5-7 years of successful sales management.
Strategic approach to individual and team goals, both short-term and long-term.
Excellent relationship-building skills.
Excellent oral communication and writing skills – must be able to craft a professional written and oral proposal.
Strong sense of professionalism and friendly in-person and on-phone demeanor.
The desire to embrace a team-first mentality in a startup environment.
Excellent customer service skills and professional appearance.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
Ability to work in fast-paced environment while juggling many tasks at once.
Excellent time management is required.
Previous sales/sales management with opening a new stadium or arena a plus.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
