*Position Impact and Purpose* The Quality Technician ensures that MSW provides the highest quality for our customers.
Utilizing GagePack software, the Quality Technician verifies the calibration of all gauges, tools, and fixtures as well as perform various process inspections.
You will play an integral part in ISO/IATF and internal audits.

*Essential Job Functions* Gage Management: Responsible for managing/performing all gauge calibration.
Manages all gauge, tool, and fixture calibration monthly using GagePack software.
Performs the calibration process for calibrations we perform in-house.
Manages and solicits quotes for all outside calibration services.
Responsible for keeping all gauge calibration certifications and supplier certifications up to date and ensuring our calibration process meets IATF requirements.
Interacts with 3rd Party Auditors during ISO/IATF/Internal Audits Responsible for setting torque wrench and other non-dedicated tools before issued to production jobs.
Occasionally write product documentation, technical specifications, parts/process instructions, and training materials.
*Various Inspection, Audits, and Testing requirements* Performs receiving inspections of purchased materials and documents findings.
Collects and records sampling and testing results to maintain a record of product quality.
Maintains Quality Assurance inspection & certification records within files on PC’s, MIS, and manual filing system.
Perform daily Dock Audits on outgoing shipments.
Perform LPA/Process Audits as assigned in the audit schedule.
Help Quality Inspectors perform First and Last Piece inspections and inspect production parts when demand peaks.
*Handling Non-conforming Product* Observes production personnel performing operations, part handling, and non-conforming material handling and verifying non-conforming documentation.
Works closely with all Team Leaders and advises on material or product quality problems.
Shares responsibility with other Quality Techs for all non-conforming material.
Moves NCM to the NCM rack and cage.
Presentation of data for the weekly NCM review.
Follows established written instructions and records all scrap, rework, and sort time in a timely manner.
Detects and reports improper operating or faulty equipment and any unusual conditions.
*Customer and Supplier Issues* Contains production parts and raw materials in the warehouse when a customer or supplier non- conformance occurs.
Identifies and/or assists in resolving customer complaints promptly and effectively.
Evaluates returned and/or suspected products and prepare Discrepant Material Reports (DMR) to return the product to the supplier.
*Additional Job Functions* Cleans work area and maintains equipment clean, safe, and orderly fashion.
Responsible for maintaining and following the current Quality Management System (IATF 16949) and standard operating procedures.
Work closely with management and fellow employees to keep an “open line” of communications to achieve “team concept” goals.
Performs other related duties as required.
*Minimum Qualifications and Requirements* High school diploma and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably within the automotive industry Understanding of the purpose of and how a gauge calibration system works and proficiency in using various types of measuring and inspection equipment.
Proven mathematical skills in shop algebra and trigonometry.
Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings and Specifications.
Ability to write and work from detailed technical or functional specifications.
*(ADA) Minimum Qualifications or Standards Required to Perform Essential Job Functions* Physical Requirements: Must be physically able to operate various maintenance equipment and tools.
Must be able to use body members to work, move, or carry objects or materials.
Must be able to exert up to fifty pounds of force occasionally and/or up to twenty pounds frequently.
